Start Your Journey with The Calm Body Method
This is a gentle, supportive programme for people who want to feel calmer, more balanced, and more at ease in their bodies, without extreme dieting, pressure, or rigid rules.
The Calm Body Method works by calming your nervous system, softening emotional eating patterns, and gently shifting the subconscious beliefs and stress responses that affect appetite, cravings, motivation, and self-trust.
This work is not about forcing change. It’s about creating the internal conditions where healthy change can happen naturally and you can work with me either in person or online, depending on what feels safest and most accessible for you.
Recommended Programme Structure
While everyone’s journey is individual, I usually recommend starting with a short series of sessions to create real, lasting change.
1. Initial Consultation & Foundation Session (90 minutes)
This first session is where we gently lay the groundwork and explore your history with food, weight, stress, self-image and begin calming the nervous system and subconscious patterns that may be keeping you stuck. This session includes:
• A gentle intake and wellbeing discussion
• Nervous system regulation and grounding
• Guided hypnotherapy for calm, safety, and body trust
• Reiki energy work and your personal aromatherapy blend
• Personalised intentions for your journey
• A short grounding or relaxation audio to take away
2. Follow-Up Support Sessions (60 minutes each)
I usually recommend 3 follow-up sessions to support ongoing change. These sessions focus on:
• Reinforcing calm eating patterns
• Reducing cravings and emotional eating
• Strengthening motivation and self-trust
• Releasing self-sabotage and negative body beliefs
• Supporting stress, sleep, and nervous system balance
• Adjusting the work as your body responds and changes
You can space these sessions weekly, fortnightly or monthly whatever feels right for your nervous system and lifestyle.
In Person Sessions
Held at Holistic Care Durham in a calm, private therapy space. Includes hands-on Reiki, aromatherapy support (where appropriate), hypnotherapy and deep relaxation work.
Online Sessions (via Zoom)
Just as effective and deeply supportive. You’ll be guided into a calm, relaxed state from the comfort of your own home. Distance Reiki, deep relaxation work and hypnotherapy are included.

These sessions build on the work we begin in your initial consultation. They focus on:
• Reinforcing calm eating patterns
• Reducing cravings and emotional eating
• Strengthening motivation and self-trust
• Releasing self-sabotage and negative body beliefs
• Supporting stress, sleep, and nervous system balance
• Adjusting the work as your body responds and changes
Sessions can be spaced weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, depending on what feels right for your nervous system and lifestyle.
