Usui Reiki Level 2 Okuden | 2 Day Training | 3/4th June
OKUDEN Reiki Level Two
Okuden is often translated as “inner teachings.” If Shoden is where we begin to feel and reconnect with the body, Okuden invites us a little deeper into awareness, perception, and a more refined relationship with the practice.
For some of you, this will be a natural continuation from your Shoden training with me. For others, you may have already trained elsewhere and are arriving with your own experience and understanding, both are completely welcome. We take the time to meet the practice as it is now, rather than assuming where you “should” be.
The training
This is a two-day, in-person training, held in a calm and supportive space in Durham. The group is kept small, allowing each of you to be guided with care, whatever your starting point. Over the two days, we gently deepen the practice through:
• Exploring the symbols and mantras as states of mind, rather than just tools
• Developing a more subtle awareness of what you feel during treatments
• Understanding how attention and presence influence the body
• Continuing hands-on practice with greater sensitivity and clarity
• Exploring distance work in a grounded and accessible way
• Meditation practices that support stillness and steadiness
There is time to practice, to reflect, and to allow your own understanding to settle and develop.
Practitioner Level
Okuden is recognised as practitioner level training. On completion of case studies, you are able to offer Reiki professionally if that feels right for you, and the training is insurable within the UK. What matters most to me is not just that you can practice, but that you feel steady, clear and supported in how you work with others. We take time to explore how to hold space in a way that is calm, respectful and grounded.
Reiju
You will receive one Reiju during the training. At this stage, Reiju is often experienced more quietly. It supports a deepening of awareness, rather than something dramatic or external.
Who this is for
This training is open to those who have completed Reiki Level One. You may feel drawn to Okuden if you are:
• wanting to deepen your understanding of Reiki
• beginning to notice more subtle awareness in your practice
• feeling called to work with others in a more professional way
• looking to revisit or reconnect with Reiki in a more grounded and supported space
Wherever you are coming from, you will be met there.
What you may notice
Each experience is individual, but many students begin to notice:
• a deeper sense of stillness
• increased sensitivity and clarity during treatments
• a more intuitive awareness of what is needed
• a growing confidence in their practice
The work becomes quieter, and often more meaningful.
Ongoing Support
Your training doesn’t end after the two days. You are supported within my Dojo, where you can continue to develop your practice at your own pace. This includes:
• guidance when you need it
• opportunities to practice and deepen
• continued learning and development
• a space that values honesty, growth and grounded practice
