Frequently Asked Questions
What is Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on therapy that supports the nervous system to move out of chronic stress and into a more regulated, balanced state. It works with the body’s natural ability to restore and heal, rather than forcing change. Many women describe feeling calmer, clearer and more grounded after sessions.
What is Tsuboki?
Tsuboki is a therapeutic Japanese facial treatment that works with acupressure points, fascia and circulation across the face, head and neck. It supports both skin health and nervous system regulation, often improving tension, sleep, jaw pain, headaches and overall wellbeing alongside visible skin benefits.
What products do you use?
I use professional, high-quality aromatherapy and skincare chosen for their purity, effectiveness and safety. Products are selected to support both skin and nervous system health, with a focus on hydration, repair and long-term skin function rather than quick or aggressive results.
I feel nervous about booking. Is that normal?
Yes. Many women feel this way, especially if they have been coping alone for a long time. It is completely normal to feel unsure before trying something new. My role is to make you feel safe, respected and supported from the moment you arrive.
Will this be too spiritual for me?
No. My work is grounded in physiology, fascia, nervous system science and professional clinical experience. Reiki is offered in a calm, professional and accessible way, and you do not need to have any particular beliefs for it to be effective.
What if I don’t like being touched?
We move at your pace. Consent, comfort and emotional safety are central to every session. If needed, treatments can be adapted or paused at any time. Many women who initially feel unsure gradually become more comfortable as trust builds.
Can this help with anxiety, burnout or chronic stress?
This work is particularly supportive for women experiencing long-term stress, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion or nervous system dysregulation. It is not a replacement for medical care, but it can be a powerful part of a wider support plan.
How is this different from other treatments?
The focus is always on the whole person, not just symptoms. Sessions are personalised and grounded in both professional training and clinical experience. The intention is long-term stability, resilience and wellbeing rather than short-term relief.
Do you offer support between sessions?
Where appropriate, I may suggest simple practices, breathing or body awareness techniques to help you continue the work at home. This helps build lasting change rather than dependence on treatments.
Can I combine treatments?
Yes. Many clients choose to combine Reiki, facial therapy and bodywork. This creates a deeper and more integrated experience that supports both emotional and physical wellbeing.
