Reiki Training Terms and Conditions
By booking a Reiki training course with Holistic Care Durham, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the following Terms and Conditions.
Booking and payment
All Reiki training courses must be paid for in full at the time of booking through the Holistic Care Durham website.
Klarna may be available as a payment option at checkout. If you choose to use Klarna, this is a separate agreement between you and Klarna. Your training place is considered booked once your payment has gone through successfully.
Course places
Your place on a course is only secured once payment has been received.
All training places are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.
Reiki levels and progression
Reiki training is offered in levels, including Shoden (level 1), Okuden (level 2), Shinpiden (master level), Shihan (Teacher level)
There is a minimum 12-week period between Shoden and Okuden. This is to allow time for practice, integration and grounding before moving to the next level.
Completion of one level does not automatically guarantee progression to the next. Holistic Care Durham reserves the right to advise that more time and practice are needed before a student moves forward.
If you have trained elsewhere and wish to join a progression course, you may be asked to provide evidence of previous Reiki training before your place is confirmed.
Cancellations by students
All Reiki training bookings are non-refundable.
If you cancel your place, do not attend, or are unable to attend for any reason, no refund will be given. However, at the discretion of Holistic Care Durham, you may be offered either:
a transfer to a future training date, or
a credit to use towards another Reiki training course or treatment at Holistic Care Durham
Any transfer or credit offered is a gesture of goodwill and is not guaranteed.
Any credit issued must be used within 6 months of the original course date unless otherwise agreed.
Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
A training place will usually only be transferred once. If you transfer to a future date and then cancel again or fail to attend, the full fee may be lost.
Cancellations by Holistic Care Durham
Holistic Care Durham reserves the right to cancel, postpone or rearrange a course if this becomes necessary due to illness, emergency, venue issues, insufficient numbers, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
If Holistic Care Durham cancels a course, you will be offered either:
a place on a future training date, or
a full refund of the amount paid for that course
Holistic Care Durham is not responsible for travel, accommodation, childcare, loss of earnings or any other costs you may have incurred in relation to the booking.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend the full course and arrive on time. If you arrive late, leave early, miss a substantial part of the training, or are unable to take part appropriately, Holistic Care Durham reserves the right not to issue a certificate.
If you are unable to attend, you should make contact as soon as possible.
Certification
Certificates are issued at the discretion of Holistic Care Durham once the training has been completed satisfactorily.
Holistic Care Durham reserves the right to withhold certification where attendance has been incomplete, course requirements have not been met, or where it would be inappropriate or unethical to issue a certificate.
Student conduct
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards the teacher, other students, and the training environment at all times.
Holistic Care Durham reserves the right to refuse entry, remove a student from training, or decline future training where behaviour is disruptive, aggressive, inappropriate, unsafe, discriminatory, threatening, or incompatible with the learning environment.
No refund will be given in these circumstances.
Health and wellbeing
Reiki training is offered as education and personal development. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric care.
By attending, you confirm that you are well enough to take part in the training.
If you have any health issue, additional need, access requirement or anything else that may affect your participation, you are responsible for informing Holistic Care Durham in advance where possible.
You remain responsible for your own wellbeing before, during and after the training.
Course materials
All manuals, written materials, meditations, handouts and teaching content remain the intellectual property of Holistic Care Durham.
They are provided for your personal use only and must not be copied, shared, reproduced, recorded, taught from, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
Audio or video recording during training is not permitted unless permission has been given in advance.
Confidentiality
Students are expected to respect the privacy of the group space.
Personal information, stories or experiences shared by other students during training must not be repeated outside the group without that person’s permission.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.
Holistic Care Durham will not be responsible for any indirect loss, loss of earnings, travel costs, accommodation costs, childcare costs, or other expenses connected to your booking or attendance.
Any liability relating to a Reiki training course will be limited to the amount paid for that course.
General
Holistic Care Durham reserves the right to make reasonable changes to course dates, timings, venue, manuals, teaching order or course structure where necessary.

Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
