The Gokai Practice Digital Journal
The Gokai Practice Journal
A Five Day Reiki Self-Practice Workbook Rooted in the Reiki Precepts
The Gokai Practice Journal is a five day digital workbook created by Leanne Barker, Usui Reiki Ryōhō Teacher and Integrative Therapist at Holistic Care Durham.
The Gokai, often known as the Reiki precepts, sit at the heart of Usui Reiki Ryōhō. They are not simply words to recite. They are a daily practice, a way of observing the mind, softening our reactions, cultivating gratitude, strengthening right action and remembering kindness in ordinary life.
This workbook has been created as a simple and grounded space for self-practice. Over five days, you are invited to work with the precepts through reflection, journaling and Reiki practice. It can be used alongside your Reiki training, as part of your own daily practice, or as a supportive wellbeing resource if you feel drawn to the teachings of Reiki.
This is not a full Reiki training manual and it does not replace Reiki training or professional support. It is a personal practice journal designed to help you pause, reflect and build a steadier relationship with the Gokai.
